Worship Resources

We recognise that not all congregations and gatherings will have weekly access to a pastor. To support groups and families, we are providing a lay-reading service order and sermon each week. You will also find a service insert for congregations using the hymnal, as well as Lectionary Notes for each week.

Lectionary

LM-A uses the three-year lectionary which appears in the Lutheran Service Book. In planning ahead, please refer to the lectionary calendar found on this page: Lectionary Series: Scripture Readings - The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

Sermons

Written Sermons - Lutheran Church–Canada These sermons for lay-reading are written based on the old 3-year lectionary so while the texts used will mostly match existing LCA resources, there may be some discrepancies. 

Prayers and Liturgy

LCMS Worship — Prayers of the Church Prayers of the Church for the 3-year lectionary, downloadable several weeks in advance.

LCA Worship Planning Page – LCA Commission on Worship - resources based on the RCL. Some readings and resources may not match the LM-A lectionary. All currently approved service orders are appropriate for use in LM-A services.

For those unable to attend a service in person

You may like to sign up for a regular email from Pastor Robert Bugbee, the pastor at First Lutheran Church, Windsor, Ontario pastor@firstlutheranchurch.ca . Pastor Robert provides a weekly video service. In his emails, he sends out the link to the latest service, a printable service order and devotions for the coming week.
