LM-A Special General Meeting

A meeting will be held on Teams prior to the Member Representatives Forum to vote on a number of constitutional updates. All details including the agenda, proposed changes and Teams link will be emailed to member representatives one month prior to the meeting.

A forum for member representatives and those likely to be member representatives by the Synod Assembly to discuss meeting procedures and the Synodical Order.

Thursday 27 April - 7.30pm -An optional informal reception hosted by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church - free of charge but bookings required to allow for catering.
Friday 28 April
7.30am Registration opens
8.30am Opening Divine Service with Holy Communion
Bible study and Business sessions conclude with worship at 4:00pm
Saturday 29 April
8:30am - Morning Worship, followed by Bible Study and business sessions, concluding with worship at 4:00pm
6:30pm - Formal Dinner , Hamilton Convention Centre
Sunday 30 April
8:30am - Morning Worship, followed by business sessions until lunch

2:00pm - Closing Divine Service with HC
3:30pm - Conclusion and Afternoon Tea
Children are welcome to attend. Please note that parents are responsible for supervising their children. A room has been set aside for young families, but creche facilities are not available. Children under 2 are free for all events and do not need to be registered. Discount tickets are available for children aged 2-12.
Registration and ticket purchase for observers opens on Monday 1 June. Note that member representatives have a separate registration process.
LM-A Women of Faith Induction Forum
This Forum will be held on the LM-A Circle platform.
All women interested in forming Faith Groups are encouraged to join us to learn more about LM-A Women of Faith and how to set up Faith Groups.

Corrie Steel and Karl Jacobson, our LM-A seminary students in the US, will both be going on vicarage soon. Their placements will be announced at special services at each seminary.

Safe Ministry Webinar
An informational webinar for pastors, congregational leaders and Safe Ministry Representatives will be held on Thursday 16 April at 7.30pm Victorian time. The webinar will be led by Deaconess Kathleen Mills, who heads the Safe Ministry Team, and LM-A Director Peter Walter. It will be hosted in Circle (LM-A’s online platform).

Concordia Lutheran Church Loxton Opening Service
10am, 79 Bookpurnong Terrace, Loxton South Australia.
Concordia Lutheran Church Loxton’s reception into LM-A will occur on March 22 with a service with Holy Communion beginning at 10am. LM-A President pastor matt Anker and Pastor Wally Schiller will lead the service. A fundraising BBQ lunch in aid of Lutheran Theological Seminary - Australia will follow the service. People are asked to bring a salad or sweet to share to supplement the BBQ.

New Zealand Online Forum
New Zealand Online Forum, 7.30pm, Thursday 18 December
An information session for anyone in New Zealand interested in connecting with other confessional Lutherans. LM-A President Matt Anker will provide an update on LM-A and will be seeking feedback on how LM-A might support and encourage you. Please register for this event using the form below. Annual General Meeting to receive reports and discuss a number of proposals. LM-A Committee of Management, Congregational Pastors and Member Representatives from each LM-A member congregation will vote on a number of proposals. She Prays Ladies Retreat

Calvary Lutheran Mission Church Toowoomba is hosting this ‘She Prays’ ladies’ retreat, which has been organised by Creative Word Fellowship.

Sydney Confessional Gathering

A BBQ lunch gathering will be held for those interested in LM-A in Sydney at Bobbin Head Picnic Ground on 4 October at 11:30 am. This gathering is intended to bring together people interested in the LMA together who live in Sydney or the surrounding area.

Pastors’ Conference
